A tool for sorting and judging your own work

Look closer before you decide.

Loupe helps you sort a shoot and get a second opinion on your strongest frame — without ever making the decision for you.

Keep Maybe Reject

Two jobs, not one

What you're trying to do decides which tool you need.

01 / Cull a shoot

Sort a full take

Upload hundreds of frames from one sitting. Loupe flags what's sharp, what's soft, and groups near-identical burst frames so you're not clicking through everything one by one.

  • Never deletes anything — every call is yours
  • Flags focus, exposure, and colour fringing issues automatically
  • Groups near-duplicate burst frames so you compare, not scroll one at a time

02 / Get a critique

Judge one image properly

Submit your strongest frame, pick your competition level, and get a critique calibrated against real judges' scores — not a generic opinion.

  • Scored on the scale your own club actually uses
  • Tuned to standard or advanced club level
  • Flags techniques that divide judges, instead of marking them down
  • Read your critique in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, or Portuguese

Field notes

What Loupe won't do

Deletion

It never deletes a photo. It marks and explains its reasoning — you decide what stays.

Editing

It never touches a pixel — no crop, exposure, or edit suggestions. Just technical flags to help you decide what's worth opening in Lightroom.

Calibration

Scores are anchored to real judged results, contributed by photographers who've had prints scored — not just a generic 1–10 scale.

Your data

Runs on Anthropic's API, not the consumer chat app — which means nothing you submit is used to train anything.

How the calibration pool works

The critique tool is only as good as the real scores behind it.

When you submit a photo alongside a score it actually received from a real club judge or PAGB panel, that pairing becomes part of the evidence Loupe uses to calibrate everyone's critiques — including your own next one. A handful of real, varied examples teaches the tool far more than any single "perfect" shot ever could.

Contributing takes under a minute. Faces are automatically blurred before anything uploads, and each person can contribute up to five examples at a time — oldest replaced first as new ones come in. Nobody, including other members, can browse the pool directly; it's used only to inform scoring, never displayed.
